ACEC-Canada has made written recommendations for a National Infrastructure Assessment in response to the Federal Government’s Engagement Paper Building the Canada We Want in 2050. The Engagement Paper sets out the purpose and benefits of undertaking a National Infrastructure Assessment and seeks input from the public, Indigenous peoples, provinces, territories, municipalities, and stakeholders.
ACEC-Canada has long advocated for federal infrastructure policy based upon a long-term vision and upon robust and reliable data and a National Infrastructure Assessment represents tremendous opportunity for informed policies and effective investments.
